Welcome back! As we begin a new school year, this energizing and meaningful session will help you refocus on the most important part of the classroom— YOU Rooted in the research by Kendrick, Kapoyannis, and Pagaling (2024), and presented in partnership with Learning Services and Human Resource Services, this session explores what self-care means for educators today.
We’ll take a fresh look at research-based strategies, intentional self-care planning and a daily wellness practice known as “streaking.” Together, we’ll break down common misconceptions about self-care, uncover barriers that can stand in the way of well-being, and engage in reflective activities to help you create a personalized, sustainable plan for mental and emotional health.
Whether you’re just starting your teaching journey or are a seasoned educator, this session offers real tools to help you thrive, prevent burnout, and build a career that is not only impactful but also joyful and lasting.
