ECSD Elementary Summer Summit: Flourishing in Hope – Growing Toward Optimal Learning Join us on August 26 for a day of connection, inspiration, and deep learning. With over 40 sessions featuring classroom-ready resources, high-impact strategies, and engaging lessons across all subject areas—including the brand-new Social Studies curriculum—this year’s Summit will help you start the year with confidence and purpose. Explore the schedule below and plan your path toward flourishing in your practice and fostering optimal learning for every student.
Student learning is impacted by their ability to be included, feel safe and have a sense of belonging. In this session we will explore a framework for courageous conversations (stay engaged, speak your truth, experience discomfort, expect and accept non-closure) while incorporating brave spaces and restorative practices to support challenging conversations. Join us to dive into strategies to help students understand what it means to be a person in a relationship with others and how they can address conflict in a respectful manner. Participants will be provided with key strategies and resources that help students of all abilities thrive in their environment alongside their peers.
